My grandparents, Earl and Anne Leigh, lived in Rockglen when I was growing up in the late 1950's and the 1960's. They lived in a house very close to Columbus, which my sister and I climbed many times. My grandfather worked at the school. They moved to Esterhazy when I was a teenager, but I've always remembered Rockglen. In high school I wrote an essay called "Happiness" - which I explained was the town of Rockglen and Columbus hill. Frankly, I never knew until today if there was really a Columbus hill, or if my sister and I had just called it that! Someday I hope to get to see Rockglen again. I live in Colorado now, and have climbed a "fourteener" (a mountain over 14,000 feet high), but I still want to climb Columbus again. |

I regret you inform all of you that Kevin Small (My Uncle) is no longer with us. We dearly thank you for all the support we have recieved since his ear replacement as well as these last episodes. For those of you who are interested we has not decided on wether to continue with the "Cryptozoology" book, if we do we have decided to include the Rockglen Sask. Bigfoot. Thanks agian the Small/Unger family. |
